  • Hi, I’m Shannon Bagnara, Nevada state licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I’m glad you’re here!

    I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from Concordia University in 2015 and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Towson University in 2018. I work with adults and adolescents using a trauma-informed, holistic approach to treatment. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, depression and difficulty with life adjustments. I believe mental health needs are best addressed by taking mind, body, spiritual and relational needs into account. One of my specialties is EMDR therapy. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR is very helpful for healing from the effects of trauma, negative beliefs and many mental health symptoms.

  • Hi, I’m Esther Aykarethu and I’m here to tell you that you do not have to settle for feeling “okay” all the time or for continuing to push on through just to “get by.” Together, we can uncover the underlying truths behind the pain and begin the journey of restoring peace and receiving healing.

    As an eclectic practitioner, I value integrating concepts and techniques from various therapeutic modalities and tailor them to fit my client’s specific needs. I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of California Los Angeles and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. My preferred modalities of practice are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Parts and Memory Therapy (P&MT), Child- Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT). For those looking for a more spiritual compass, I offer faith based therapy upon request.

    Whether it’s working through past trauma, relationship struggles, life transitions such as divorce, learning how to establish healthy boundaries and find your voice, or just wanting to feel like yourself again; I can provide essential therapeutic tools for you to achieve your goals and experience your empowerment.

    I have a passion for working with new mothers and stay at home mothers navigating different stages and stressors of motherhood. As a mom myself, I understand what it’s like to suffer from isolation, experience the loss of identity, and feel the pressure of expectations. Therapy for moms can be a safe haven - a space to unload and get your cup filled; a time where you do not have to feel guilty for allowing yourself to be you. Moms spend so much time nurturing everyone else; you too deserve to be heard and have your cup replenished. So, come, sit on that couch and have a cup of tea with me. Take a leap of faith and find your courage. Therapy doesn’t have to be scary. I can be a guiding hand and a listening ear and we can do this together.
